ABOUT GOLD PLATING
Our Gold-Plated jewelry is made by electroplating a layer of 18k gold onto sterling silver. Gold-plated Jewelry is not solid 18k Gold and requires extra care. We encourage you to be a conscious consumer and look after our Gold Plated pieces using the below advice to ensure their longevity.
ABOUT STERLING SILVER
Sterling Silver is the most widely used metal in jewelry; we use 92.5% purity which is also known as sterling silver. Silver is a relatively soft metal and as such can be misshapen relatively easily, for this reason rings and bracelets should be removed when undertaking physical activity.
CARE:
- Remove your jewelry when exercising, showering, swimming or doing anything that involves moisture.
- Wipe down after wear.
- Ensure your hands are clean and free of moisture when handling all gold plated jewellery
- Keep away from perfume, cosmetics and fake tan
- Store in your BTAV pouch
One's body chemistry may also affect how jewelry wears, this is due to the fact that some people's PH levels, perspiration & body oils are can be more acidic than others. This may cause discoloration or oxidization to your jewelry, if this is the case Cold Hearted is not responsible for returning or exchanging items.
